Dr. Nguyen Quang Hiep is the 8th president of the Vietnam Institute for Building Materials (VIBM). He earned his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Building Materials from Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. Beginning his career in 1995 at the Vietnam Institute for Building Science and Technology, he held various important positions over the years. From 2014 to 2017, he served as the director of the Center for Technology Development of Management and Construction Inspection at the State Agency for Construction Quality Inspection. Before becoming VIBM's president, he was the Deputy Director General of the Building Materials Department, Ministry of Construction from December 2017 to January 2024.
In research, Dr. Nguyen Quang Hiep has participated in and led numerous research projects, mainly focusing on concrete materials and construction technology. His work has been presented at international conferences and published in scientific journals.
